Outdoor Living hot tub retailing duo Paul Margerison and Kevin Newby have become the first ever UK-based Jacuzzi dealership to land the prestigious Top Sales Gold honour in the Europe, Middle East & Asia Awards.
Paul and Kevin have enjoyed a meteoric rise to hot tub success and industry stardom in recent years with a strong focus on highly professional retailing, combined with strong marketing initiatives, from two showrooms in Hull and Leeds. Their efforts have now resulted in Outdoor Living being presented with the historic ‘Sales Gold’ at the annual Jacuzzi Europe, Middle East & Asia Awards during a special ceremony held in Venice, Italy.
Despite achieving industry prominence with successive top sales awards in this country for Jacuzzi UK’s dealer network, the pair constantly maintain that they do not take anything for granted and that their motivation is not to just win industry award recognition, but to provide a top quality hot tub service.
“Awards are nice but they are not our motivation and we are certainly not glory seekers, and sing our own praise just for the sake of it,” revealed Paul, pictured second right at the awards ceremony.
“Kevin and I certainly don’t take our success for granted and we’re not big headed about our achievements and don’t go shouting about our sales figures. That’s not our style.
“We both agree that we don’t need to enter industry awards to be successful. Our focus is to provide a top quality hot tub service for our customers and if we gain sales awards from Jacuzzi at the end of the year then that’s great. It’s an extra bonus.”
Paul divulged that their strong commitment as a hard-working partnership has been instrumental in this rise to prominence in the market, after deciding to go into business as hot tub dealers while Kevin, pictured first left at the Venice presentation event, was still working at a bank.
“Having an extra pair of hands is always helpful,” divulged Paul. “It has certainly been an advantage for us to be a duo working together in the hot tub industry for the same sales goals.”
