Increased Piscina and Wellness Barcelona presence

Leading European hot tub and swim spa manufacturing brands will be among an increased presence by wet leisure exhibitors seeking to attract visitors to their stands during the enhanced Piscina & Wellness Barcelona 2017 showcase.

Organised by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Pool Sector Professionals (ASOFAP), Piscina & Wellness Barcelona 2017 will be accommodating over 340 exhibitors, 430 brands, 560 products, and encompassing 14,000 square metres of Hall 1 and 2 of the Gran Via exhibition centre this week from tomorrow, Tuesday, October 17, to Friday, October 20.

The four-day international aquatic extravaganza; open from 10am to 7pm on the first three days and from 10am to 4pm on Friday; has gained a ten per cent increase in stands and 15 per cent increase in the occupied area this time round compared to the previous edition two years ago. It will also feature more activities than in 2015 aimed at fostering innovation, as well as boosting business and industry knowledge.

Travelling a short distance from its cutting-edge Catalan hot tub and swim spa production facility near Barcelona, Aquavia Spa will be among the ‘home’ contingent and is being joined by fellow European hot tub and swim spa manufacturer Wellis in the list of exhibitors that also includes Superior Spas and Villeroy & Boch; as well as Thermals Spa, La Motte Europe, Calorex, Melspring International, Gecko Alliance, Almost Heaven Saunas, and Hayward Pool Europe.

A new Demo Pool for this year’s event, which will be located in Hall 2 and is an 18sq.m fibreglass pool by Freedom Pools, is scheduled to host technical trials of products by experts from some of the exhibiting companies throughout the event.

As part of the ‘Wellness Spa Experience’ during the exhibition in Hall 1 there will be a fully-functional wellness centre to provide visitors with an idea of the services and equipment required for a facility of this kind to be both practical and profitable.

The event will also include an ‘Innovation Zone’, waterpark symposium, and networking opportunities. There will also be a dedicated programme of seminars featuring over 30 expert speakers.

On Wednesday, October 18, the Piscina & Wellness Barcelona Awards presentation will take place in the Casa Llotja de Mar on Barcelona’s seafront with a new Wellness Spa Experience Awards category for Thalassotherapy centres, spa resorts, spas and spa and wellness professionals in Spain, Portugal and Andorra.

Visitors who wish to attend the ceremony should register for the exclusive pass that gives them access to both the exhibition and the dinner (Trade Visitor and Gala Dinner), while exhibitors should purchase their tickets on the Exhibitor’s Area page of the exhibition’s website.
