Hot tub focus in speaker schedule

BISHTA will be joined by leading wet leisure company representatives at the Holiday Park & Resort Innovation show in the expanded speaker schedule to help increase the demand for hot tubs in the holiday park market.

Following on from a successful outing at last year’s event, BISHTA Managing Director Chris Hayes is again among the schedule of guest speakers during the two-day showcase; which is taking place this week at the Birmingham NEC on Wednesday, November 7, and Thursday, November 8.

Chris, who has been celebrating the tenth anniversary of being BISHTA Managing Director, will be hoping to match the bumper attendance he gained for his guest speaker appearance during the second day of last year’s show. This time round he has a morning slot in the schedule on the first day, Wednesday, in Theatre 13, and his talk is entitled ‘Why You Should Invest in Hot Tubs’, which will take place from 11am to 11:30am.

Steve Hasenmueller from Marquis and SpaTech Training chief and 1 Stop Spas Managing Director Chris Brady have also joined the guest speaker list this year; along with RotoSpa Sales Manager Jason Smith; and Chris Allcock and James Lee from Water Treatment Products.

Last year Marquis retailer Chris Brady attended the show to promote the launch of the new Holiday Vegas hot tub, which has been designed by Marquis specifically to help holiday parks comply with HSG282 guidance from the Health and Safety Executive as part of their hot tub accommodation for customers.

Design features of the Holiday Vegas, which has been produced without any water features, include minimal user controls and full parameter LED lighting. The auxiliary topside control panel has been designed to be used specifically by ‘guest users’ only to allow simple and user-friendly access to the control for the pump and light operations.

“This model has been specifically designed and manufactured for the holiday park market by Marquis with our recommendations to ensure it ticks all of the boxes of the HSG282 guidance,” reported Chris.

This time round Chris has been scheduled to speak at the show on the first day in Theatre 10 2pm to 2:30pm and his talk will be entitled ‘Hot Tubs for your Business’; which is scheduled to run from 2pm to 2:30pm and will highlight the latest Health and Safety guidance, compliance with HSG282, and recommendations for hot tubs in a business setting.

On Thursday in Theatre 12, Chris will join EJ Bowman Sales Manager Tony Carter to highlight an innovative way of getting hot tubs to prime temperature quickly in two to three hours as part of their talk entitled ‘Heating Hot Tubs faster and Reducing Energy Costs’, scheduled to take place from 12:30pm to 1pm.

This will be followed in Theatre 12 by Jason Smith from British manufacturer RotoSpa; which gained a Gold Award in the ‘Hot Tubs in a Holiday Setting’ category at the British Pool & Hot Tub Awards hosted by BISHTA and SPATA in January at the Ricoh Arena, in Coventry; will be conducting his talk on ‘The real ROI – adding spa tubs in your accommodation, which is scheduled to run from 1:15pm to 1:45pm.

Also, on the second day Steve Hasenmueller will be promoting the virtues of Marquis, in Theatre 10, during his talk entitled ‘Marquis – The Ultimate Holiday Park Hot Tub Program’; which is scheduled to take place from 1:15pm to 1:45pm.

An hour later in the afternoon, also in Theatre 10, James Lee and Chris Allcock will be conducting their talk on ‘Hot Tub Water management in the Holiday Park Industry’, from 2:45pm to 3:15pm.

Members of the Aqua Warehouse Group, which specialises in the distribution of American Whirlpool and Vita Spa hot tubs and swim spas to its dedicated network of retailers within the UK market and has a dedicated Aqua Spa Supplies division to promote and supply hot tub and wet leisure products, will be among the exhibitors; along with Jacuzzi UK, Marquis, RotoSpa,and Superior Spas.

As part of its plans to secure a major share of the booming hot tub holiday park market, Superior Spas has been celebrating its deal to be the preferred hot tub supplier to the UK’s leading and fastest-growing independent holiday home provider, Sykes Holiday Cottages.

Superior Spas Marketing Manager Rob White has highlighted that hot tubs are now the top choice for property owners to entice holidaymakers to their holiday parks and cottages, to coincide with the promotion for a new signature Holiday Let Hot Tub.

“Hot tubs are the ideal way for property owners to catch the eye of holidaymakers looking for accommodation that offers something a bit special,” said Rob; “They immediately add a touch of luxury and a relaxing feel to any stay.”

On both days, the exhibition will commence at 10am; and close to visitors at 5pm.
