Leisure Industry Week celebrates 25 years

Leisure Industry Week will celebrate its 25th anniversary when it hosts multiple WhatSpa? award-winning hot tub brand Caldera Spas and its exclusive UK distributor Certikin, along with specialist outdoor retailers at Birmingham NEC.

Certikin LIWFounded in 1989, Leisure Industry Week proclaims itself to be the leading exhibition for the out of home leisure industry and will be running from September 30 to October 2 in Hall 1 of the NEC. Along with Pool and Spa, there are five additional core leisure sectors covered by the exhibition, including: Play; Health & Fitness; Eat and Drink; Leisure Facilities; and Sport.

Certikin, the UK’s largest manufacturer and distributor of pool, spa and wellness equipment; will be spearheading the promotion for the wet leisure industry during the exhibition on Stand W620. Among its stable of hot tub models are the 2014 WhatSpa? magazine Best Buy Awards for the Marino and Cantabria models that are part of the company’s hot tub retailer showroom product portfolio available to UK dealerships. Spa and swimming pool heating specialist Calorex will also be featured under the Pool and Spa sector category during the exhibition.

The Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association (SPATA) has booked an exhibition stand; while RoSPA, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, will be providing water safety advice. A STA Swim Zone will take centre stage for a second year with live swimming, aquatic, lifesaving and pool plant demonstrations throughout the exhibition.

Exhibition opening hours are 10am to 5pm on Tuesday, September 30, and Wednesday, October 1, and 10am to 4pm on Thursday, October 2. Early morning workouts will take place between 7:30am and 9:30am on October 1 and 2, with pre-booking required.

No under 18’s, school or college students will be admitted entry. The only exceptions will be for those taking part in official demonstrations within the show.
