Fellows revealed at hot tub and pool extravaganza

Hot tub and pool specialists have been welcomed by the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) into the fourth cadre to its Fellows Program during a reception at the International Pool Spa Patio Expo in Las Vegas this week.
Bullfrog International’s Jerry Pasley is among the newest Fellows who also include: Lew Akins, CBP, Ocean Quest Pools by Lew Akins; Kyle Chaikin, CBP, CSP, Ultimate Pool Care; Frank H. Goldstein, CBP, CSP, Chesapeake Aquatic Consultants; Steven Gorlin, CBP, CSP, Gorlin Pools and Spas; John Lochren, Solar Pool Enclosures of New York; Jack Manilla, CBP, CSP, Portofino Pools; John Migliaccio, CBP, The Pool & Spa Place; Michael Miller, CSP, Miller Pools; Jeff Mitchell, CBP, Dynasty Pools; John Romano, CBP, CSP, All American Custom Pools & Spas.
APSP established the Fellows program in November 2012 and has once again timed the annual presentation ceremony to coincide with the International Pool Spa Patio Expo in Las Vegas after the 2014 ceremony was held in Florida during last year’s hot tub and pool showcase. The peer-nominated honor was developed by the APSP Board of Directors to recognize leaders whose contributions have enhanced the professionalism of the pool, spa and hot tub industry through teaching, research and/or exemplary service to others.
During the presentation APSP President and CEO Rich Gottwald highlighted that the latest representatives from the wet leisure had shown a commitment to excellence ahead of joining the ranks of existing Fellows.
“Our industry is happy to recognize the newest Fellows for their selfless contributions to the pool, spa and hot tub industry,” he said; “Our Fellows represent a commitment to excellence and success in the industry. Their contributions are immeasurable.”
Yesterday the APSP hosted a seminar at the International Pool Spa Patio Expo featuring the star of Animal Planet’s Insane Pools, Lucas Congdon, designed specifically for its WAVE Young Professionals Network.
During the free seminar Lucas discussed his passion for the pool, spa and hot tub industry and how it helped him become a successful businessman and lead to his role on Insane Pools.
“Lucas and our WAVE members are the future leaders of our industry,” said Rich Gottwald.
“We’re committed to supporting the next generation of industry professionals by providing them opportunities to learn and network at various APSP events across the country.”
