Specialist lawyer booked for SPATEX

SPATEX seminar organisers are helping hot tub and pool specialists to avoid getting in hot legal water by lining up a specialist lawyer to appear during the 21st anniversary edition of the wet leisure showcase.

One of the highlights of the three-day SPATEX Seminar schedule is a talk by Simon O’Loughlin, a specialist International Personal Injury lawyer at Irwin Mitchell, entitled ‘The Legal Implications of What Happens When It Goes Wrong’. It is being held on Wednesday, February 1, during the second day of SPATEX as part of a new mid-week schedule, running from Tuesday, January 31, to Thursday, February 2, at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry

Later in the day, at 2:45pm, Colin Jackson MISPE will provide an annual update on legislation and health and safety cases for spa and pool operators over the past 12 months. His update talk is also scheduled to take place in Arena 1 and is expected to finish at 3:05pm.

Shortly after the conclusion of Colin’s talk, Allen Wilson FISPE is set to continue the legal theme in Arena 1 with his talk on ‘The Legal Requirement for Regular Microbiological Testing’. It is scheduled to commence at 3:30pm and end at 4pm.

In the evening the Ricoh Arena, home to the G Casino that is the UK’s largest casino, will be hosting a special SPATEX Networking Party Evening that promises to be the largest gathering of the wet leisure industry in the calendar.

Looking to repeat the spectacular success of this year’s SPATEX networking event, organisers have announced that they are hosting a special celebratory networking party occasion after the 21st edition of the exhibition closes on the second evening of February 1 and have brokered excellent hotel deals in the surrounding area.

Local hotels are expected to receive extra demand from SPATEX visitors and wet leisure specialists planning to stay over following the culmination of the first and second days of the exhibition are being advised to book their accommodation early. The British Pool & Hot Tub Awards and Gala Evening with top awards, being presented to BISHTA and SPATA members, is being hosted on January 31, followed by the Networking Party on the subsequent evening at the Ricoh Arena.

“All exhibitors and visitors are warmly invited to the themed party, which will include drinks, nibbles and a lot of fun,” said SPATEX Organiser Michele Bridle.

The list of hot tub and swim spa product exhibitors includes staunch SPATEX loyalists Certkin International, promoting its exclusive UK distributor status for the Caldera Spas and Fantasy Spas brands from Watkins Wellness, Golden Coast, and Spa Crest Europe, with promotion of its Tuff Spas hot tubs and Premium Leisure swim spas distributor status.

They will be joined by a number of companies making successive appearances at SPATEX including Aqua Spa Supplies, part of the Aqua Warehouse Group that distributes L.A Spas and Vita Spa hot tubs and swim spas; Coast Spas, Elite Spas, Superior Spas, and Wellis.
