Jacuzzi announces UK integration plan

Jacuzzi Brands LLC has laid down plans to enhance the services for UK customers of leading hot tub and swim spa brands by integrating Jacuzzi Spa and Bath Ltd with Hydropool UK and Hydropool Europe.

After gaining prominence in the UK hot tub market with its ‘Self Cleaning’ signature attributes, combined with strong sales and marketing initiatives at major consumer exhibitions, Hydropool became a major player in the flourishing swim spa market in the UK and within the international market before Jacuzzi Brands LLC acquired the manufacturing brand in 2017.

Jacuzzi has reported that Hydropool, as both a leading supplier of hot tubs and swim spas around the world, has since proven to be an ‘exciting and complimentary addition’ to its already impressive portfolio of iconic brands that includes Sundance Spas; which is currently distributed to the UK market by Leeds-based Jacuzzi Spa and Bath Ltd, who are also currently supplying the flourishing SwimLife range of swim spas by Jacuzzi to UK dealers.

Duncan Simcox, who has played an instrumental role in the growth of Jacuzzi in the UK for 17 years and during the past seven years has been leading the UK offices as Managing Director of Jacuzzi Spa and Bath Ltd, will now take up the position of Managing Director for all three businesses to help spearhead the new blended organisation as it moves towards an exciting future in the 2020’s and beyond.

“The union of these wellness powerhouses provides a unique opportunity to develop and deliver an enhanced customer experience within the spa industry in the UK,” said Duncan.

Lloyd Burden, who is currently VP of International Sales for Hydropool in Europe and other territories, will take up a new role as Sales Director. He will be using his 26 years of experience within the industry to strategically drive all Jacuzzi brands within the UK; including Jacuzzi, Sundance Spas and Hydropool; while also maintaining his responsibilites as VP of International Sales for Hydropool, which was originially established as a commercial swimming pool company in 1970.

In 1978 it became one of the first hot tub retailers in North America, and during the past 40 years it has grown to be the largest hot tub manufacturer outside of the USA, with products now sold through retail partners in more than 50 countries, under the Hydropool and La-Z-Boy hot tub brands, and is the second largest swim spa manufacturer globally with multiple WhatSwimSpa? Best Buy Awards to its name; including a 2019 Best Buy accolade from the consumer magazine in the £30,000 Plus price category for the Hydropool Executive Trainer 19EX, which comes in at 5.59 x 2.36 x 1.34m and has a 9,038 litre capacity.

Jacuzzi recently rounded off a busy schedule of appearances at major outdoor events as one of the exhibitors at Chatsworth Country Fair, hosted at Chatsworth House in Bakewell, in association with specialist Jacuzzi retailer Premier Spas.

Leading Jacuzzi dealership Outdoor Living, which has two booming showrooms in Hull and Leeds, also took part in the Country File Live event hosted at Castle Howard in North Yorkshire in the middle of August; after an earlier appearance to promote a wide range of Jacuzzi products and services at the Great Yorkshire Show.

As part of its promotion of the flourishing SwimLife range, specialist Jacuzzi retailer Euphoria Lifestyle recently hosted a two-day event that was attended by Sally Gunnell OBE. It was an extra sales and marketing boost for the SwimLife range that has gained WhatSwimSpa? Best Buy Award-winning recognition for the Jacuzzi SwimLife SwimFit 14, which comes in at 4.42 x 2.37 x 1.34m and has a water capacity of 7,220 litres, in the £20,000 to £29,999 price range; and the Jacuzzi Swim Life SwimExpert 17, which comes in at 5.34 x 2.37 x 1.34m and has a water capacity of 9,120 litres.

Jacuzzi is now aiming to extend is presence in the hot tub holiday market with an appearance as an exhibitor to promote specialist holiday hot tub designs at the Holiday Park & Resort Innovation show.

The brand is one of the established suppliers to the thriving hot tub holiday sector in the UK and will be seeking to enhance its profile even further during the 2019 outing of the two-day Holiday Park & Resort Innovation exhibition being hosted at the Birmingham NEC, on November 6 and 7, after attending the recent Caravan and Holiday Home Expo, hosted at The Lawns in Cottingham, near Hull.

This year Jacuzzi has also been given an additional sales and marketing boost to build on its top quality manufacturing credentials and track record in the hot tub holiday market with a trio of WhatSpa? Holiday Park Best Buy Awards.

The prestigious Best Buy accolades were bestowed on the three-seater Jacuzzi Lodge S, which comes in at 185 x 165 x 90cm; the five-seater Jacuzzi Lodge M, which comes in at 200 x 185 x 90cm; and the seven-seater Jacuzzi J-280, which comes in at 229 x 229 x 94cm.
