Hot tub manufacturing giant Watkins Wellness will be aiming to extend its impressive status in the market this year after reaching the historic ‘industry first’ major milestone of having built its 1.5 millionth spa.

Since Jeff and Jon Watkins built the first HotSpring portable spa in 1977 the company, which was previously Watkins Manufacturing, has been on a path of consistent growth that will continue in this new decade with dedication to innovation to deliver unique and compelling wellness solutions for homeowners around the world, and helping hot tub users of WhatSpa? Best Buy Award-winning brands relax, connect with loved ones, and live healthier, and happier lives.

The California-based company, which became part of the MASCO group of companies in 1986 and now has 2,500 employees and over 1,000 retailers in 50 states and over 70 countries around the world, acquired the Caldera Spas brand in 1999 that is exclusively distributed in the UK by wet leisure product powerhouse Certikin International.

In 2015 Watkins Manufacturing gained a leading WhatSwimSpa? Best Buy Award-winning swim spa brand endorsed by double Olympic champion and triathlon star Alistair Brownlee MBE by acquiring Endless Pools; ahead of changing its name to Watkins Wellness in 2016.

Watkins Wellness President Steve Hammock, who became President of Watkins Manufacturing in 1997 after the retirement of founder Jeff Watkins, has revealed that the entire team behind the production of HotSpring, Caldera Spas, Endless Pools and other brands including Fantasy Spas, and Freeflow Spas, is excited to have recently achieved the 1.5 millionth spa milestone that is unmatched in the industry.

“Everyone on our team is excited by this milestone because of the joy, health and healing we’ve been able to provide for so many,” said Steve; “I’m very proud of the team’s commitment to our noble cause of helping others to ‘Feel Good and Live Well’.

“Our products improve people’s lives above the water, below the water and beyond the water.”

In the latest edition of WhatSpa? magazine Watkins Wellness gained prestigious recognition for its innovative design and state-of-the-art production credentials with a ‘magnificent seven’ WhatSpa? Best Buy Awards for HotSpring, Caldera Spas and Freeflow Spas models.

A hat-trick of Best Buy accolades for the HotSpring brand, currently being promoted at multiple HotSpring World showrooms in the UK and by Crewe-based Blue Lagoon Spas, Stockton on Tees-based My Hot Tub and Scottish dealership HotSpring Spas Central in Edinburgh and Clackmannanshire, was achieved by the HotSpring Hot Spot Propel, coming in at 208 x 208 x 84cm with twin lounger seating incorporated into its design, in the £6,000 to £7,999 price range; the HotSpring Limelight Beam, coming in at 203 x 203 x 84cm, in the £8,000 to £9,999 price range, and the HotSpring Highlife Envoy, coming in at 236 x 231 x 97cm, in the £15,000 Plus price category.

Not to be outdone, the Caldera Spas brand, currently being promoted by Hereford-based Three Counties Pools & Spas, Holland-on-Sea based SPS Swimming Pools & Spas, Rotherham-based Oasis Hot Tubs and Spas and leading Welsh dealership All Swim Limited in Cardiff, also gained a trio of WhatSpa? Best Buy Awards for the six-seater Caldera Spas Marino, which comes in at 213 x 213 x 91cm and incorporates lounger seating within its design, in the £6,000 to £7,999 price range; the six-seater Caldera Spas Palatino, which comes in at 226 x 226 x 98cm and also has a lounger seat within its seating configuration, in the £8,000 to £9,999 price range; and the eight-seater Caldera Spas Cantabria, which comes in at 274 x 231 x 97cm, in the £15,000 Plus price category.

The five-seater with lounger Freeflow Spas Excursion Premier design, coming in at 218 x 196 x 84cm, was also acclaimed with a WhatSpa? Best Buy Award in the sub-£5,999 price range.
